Ohio Senior Olympics

In my design class, one of the outside projects that my professor brought in was for the Ohio Senior Olympics. Every year they have an Ohio Senior Olympics state games, to try and qualify you for Nationals. They are holding this event at Otterbein, and in Westerville for at least the next four years.

We were all asked to design a poster, logo, and icons for the events. I ended up winning the logo aspect of the competition.  They had an exiting logo that they kind of liked the concept but needed a revamp, and thats exactly what I did. I used the Ohio state flag and replaced the middle with a torch, representing the olympics. I then used the buckeye, to replace the middle, circular part of the flag, to represent Ohio even more.

I saw my design placed on T-shirts, banners, stickers, posters, and next year they were going to incorporate it into the medal that the winners receive.
